ANISH KAPOOR
This is Anish Kapoor, an artist from Mumbai, India. You probably are familiar with his work from Chicago, the silver sculpture at the top.
I don't know much about Anish, i just respond to the forms, the colors, the materials and the scale. I love that color red! These pieces feel as if some fine art magician has come in and cast a fine art spell on the space!
ROBERT IRWIN
Robert Irwin is an American Artist who began his career as an abstract expressionist in painting. However, over time he got out of the studio and began to do installations. Like James Turrell in the following post, these particular Robert Irwin pieces installations are investigating the perception of light and space.
I find these pieces meditative, calming, and thoughtful.
